Russian Ph.D. student and computer programmer Dmitry Sklyarov was arrested for writing software that allows one to decrypt the content of Adobe eBooks into PDF files. He was charged with a violation of the Digital Millenium Copyright Act, a clearly unconstitutional law, and for doing it while living in Russia, a clearly illegal extension of U.S. jurisdiction to another country.
